Traditional books vs electronic books

I believe that electronic books are more exciting than traditional books because they are funnier and if you want, you can listen to them.Traditional books are more expensive than the electronic books, but if you are reading an electronic book, the only danger is that the battery may finish.Also the electronic books save trees because they don’t need paper  for their pages.

A review about my favourite book

 My favourite book is ''Love over time''. Its writer is Kerstin Gier. The main character is Gueni. A strange girl who can travel in the past and she can see ghosts that others can't see. I like her because she has a good character, but her family is unkind and strange (exept her uncle, her sister and her brother), because they have the gift to travel in the past. I don't like her grandma because she's the most unkind person of her familly. Gueni lives with her famiy. Her mum, her uncle, her sister, her brother, her uncle, her mum's sister, her cousin and their batler. She has a very good best friend who is always by her side, her name is Lesli. This story has three books: Red, Blue and Green Diamond. I think that if you lovve romantic stories you should read those books. They're from the publications ''Susaeta''. I like it for three reasons. Firstly it's about love. Secondly it's about trips in the past and thirdly it has many mysteries.                                                                            

Little Women

A few days ago Mrs Christina  gave me a very interesting book, called Little Women.

The book is about four young sisters -Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy- who have problems. The girls live with their mum, Mrs March. Their father, Mr March, is away in the war . They don't have much money, but they are a happy family!

I had a great time reading this book. I recommend this book to everyone.

A fantastic book

Hello readers! I wish you all the best for this new year and enjoy the new year! In the holidays, Mrs Markaki gave me a very good book. I read it and that's why I am writing this text for the blog!

The title of the book was "Amazon Rally". It was written by Eduardo Amos and Elisabeth Prescer. In this story two friends from England, go to Brazil for a motorcycle race. Their names are Brian and David. The race starts well but when they get into the woods of the Amazon, Indians stop them! Indians think they are miners and they want to kill them. But the two drivers explain who they really are. Indians understand and they let them free. They explain their problem with the miners. Then Brian runs to the police station to inform the policemen about the miners who want to kill the Indians. The police come to the village and stop the miners. Then the two drivers continue their race and finish. But not first or second, last of all. But with the notice to the police, they saved the Indians' village.

That was a great story and I loved it! I again wish you all the best for the new year and enjoy the last five days of holidays!

The Nightmare before Christmas is a story about a king of Halloweentown who is bored with the Halloween routine.His name is Jack Skelligton.Jack Skelligton wants to find a different experience.He travels to the Christmas town.The Nightmare before Christmas is an interesting story wich has written by Tim Barton in 1993.You must read this book!!!

The story nightmare before Christmas is a great story.It talkS ABOUT a skeleton and a doctor who have an acident and now he has MADE a very strong girl.Her name is Sally and she helpS and careS FOR the doctor because he can't walk.But Sally is very borED with that and she wantS
to escape.At night she putS SOME STRANGE FLOWERS in his drink and giveS it to the doctor.Then the doctor IS asleep and Sally escapeS but he caught/ catches her.The skeleton's name is Jack and he lived in Halloween town and he travelled to Christmas town.When

he came back, HE TALKED ABOUT all the things WHICH HE HAD SEEN to the friends.

My opinion on the book

The pages of the book nightmare before christmas were good and bad.They were good because they were a good start for a story and they were bad because they were a little BIT boring but they were ok.I liked Jack and the strange voice of the doctor. Αlso his voice was a little scary.the little stupid place was where Sally put flowers in the doctor's drink then when he fell asleep Sally RAN away but then the doctor woke up and rolled with his chair and caught her.I mean it was a little stupid becauce he was in a chair and he caught her.Also I liked IT when Jack lived in Halloweentown and went to the Christmastown and then when he returned Jack told the people of Halloweentown about the Christmastown.

It was Halloween at the Halloween-Town.This night all the ghosts the witches and the monsters went out of their tomb and  they went to town because the wantED to scarE people.Jack Skellington was the most scary of all of them.With his scary songs and dances he scared the people.But Jack was bored because he did the same things all the nights of the Halloween every year.

One night he walked out of the Halloween -Town and he was walking for many hours.While he was walking he saw a beautiful town WHICH was the Christmas-Town and it was Christmas.He looked inside of a house and he saw a beautiful DECORATED tree and then he went back to the Halloween town.

When he arrived to the Halloween-Town he explained to all what he saw at the Christmas -town. While he was talking , SALLY was watching him. Sally was taking care OF an old doctor.For many years she tried to escape FROM the house,but the doctor ALWAYS CAUGHT her.

He tried to talk to the people of Halloween Town about the people at Christmas Town and their traditions....

Once upon a time there was a man called Winston Smith that lived in a society in which the government controlled every second of the day. They also controlled the mind with the thought police.There was the "king" of the government.This "king" was Big Brother.He controlledthe whole government with soldiers, thoughtcrimers and facecrimers (criminals?)

In every house there were two big posters.One poster wrote BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU and his eyes looked into yours and the other poster wrote"FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
WAR IS PEACE
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH"

Winston worked in the Ministry of Truth.One day a big noise from the telescreen called all the workers in the center hall.Emmanuel Goldstein's face filled the telescreen.Behind his face there were a thousand soldiers marching.A girl got up and threw a Dictionary on the telescreen shouting"Pig,pig".She was a dangerous girl especially with men.

One day Winston called one friend ,O'brien, to discuss with him.O'brien told him about facecrimers.Then after the conversation he started getting back home. On the way he met a girl who was hurt and lay on the floor and he helped her get up.He took her home to look after her.But the thought police caught them and wanted not to punish them but to help them.After that they saw they were well and they set them free.Winston went to a café and saw Big Brother on the telescreen.Then he started crying.He finally loved Big Brother.

Charles Dickens

As we all know Charles Dickens was one of the world's best and most famous writers.His novels have ''travelled'' around the world.In this composition that I'm going to write I'll tell you about two famous characters from Dickens' books.
The first famous character is Ebenezer Scrooge.Scrooge is an unkind and mean man.He doesn't give a lot of money to poor people and he doesn't care about that his clerk's son who is really ill in order to give some more money to the poor family.But ... one night Jacob Marley's ghost visits him and tells him that 3 more ghosts will visit him tonight.
Another famous character is Abel Magwitch.He's a bad criminal that escapes from his prison and he's free again.He meets a boy and he tells him to find food and if the boy doesn't come back ,he will kill him.But the boy comes back and the criminal becomes a grateful man.
Dickens was a good writer, but he died on 9th June 1870.

Amazon Rally

   'Look Brian', says David 'These are our motorcycles'.David and Brian are motorcycle racers and they are at the Heathrow airport in London.They usually race in European countries, but this time they are going to race in Brazil across the Amazon Jungle.
   Brian reads a newspaper. 'There is a problem in Amazon.The Indians are very angry because miners take their homes.But David doesn't listen and says, 'The race is going to be good'. 'Yes, difficult, too', answers Brian.
    Two days later the racers are in Brazil.The race starts and the day is really hot.The first two days in the race are OK, but then the road is bad. However, our racers are first.Suddenly, they are lost in the jungle and Indians catch them.They ask them if they are miners ,but they explain that they are racers and they call the police to catch the miners.Finally, the police catches the miners and everybody is happy again.
   

Another world: Chapter 1 " Happy is good"

       The School for the Higher Studies in Happiness was about five kilometres  outside Eden City's World.Every day ,a bus took the students from the center of the city to school.On the way the students sang songs that  they learned at school.
 
     I'm Happy ,I'm Happy ,Everyday in every way ,I'm Happy!!!!
   

       Student BZXY741 sat behind the driver.He was singing louder than the other students.He sang well and he always loved to sing everyday in every way.

     Happy is good, sad is bad ,I'm HAPPY.

  
   He was the best student of the year and every teacher and every student in the school loved him.He was the winner for the Best Smile.But... the girl next to him didn't sing as loud as the other students.He turned to her and she smiled at him, but he didn't know that this smile could change his life...

Benjamin Button

   Our story starts ,in summer 1860, in the city of Baltimore.At that time the babies were usually born at homes.But Mr. and Mrs. Roger Button had different ideas.They wanted their first baby to arrive in a hospital.The Buttons were important in Baltimore society.They knew every good family in the town ,but everyone knew them ,too.
   This was their first baby, so naturally Mr. Button was nervous.He was hoping it would a boy so that he could send him to Yale College ,because he wanted to follow his track.This great day arrived. Mr. button hurried to the hospital.When he was close to the hospital, he saw the family doctor on the front steps.There was a serious look on the doctor's face and this made Mr. Button worried.
     He ran toward the doctor.
 "Doctor Keene" he shouted.
 The doctor turned and saw him."What happened?"Mr.Button asked."Is the child born?A boy or a girl?What...?"
"Talk sense!", the doctor said.
 "O.K.Is the child born?", he asked.
 "Yes",  he answered."A strange birth".
"Is it a boy or a girl?"
"Go and see"the doctor answered....

"What will my friend and I do?" / First Conditional

   If it's sunny at the weekend , we'll play volleyball and basketball at LIDO SOCCER.If it's cloudy on Monday and Thursday, we'll study science and English.

     If it snows all week ,we'll play snow war and make lots of snow men with a big smile from buttons ,a carrot nose and a beautiful scarf!!!!!!!                               

CHAPTER 1 The wolf-pack hunts

The land was covered with snow and it was silent.Into the still lifeless landscape broke the sounds and movements of life -of dogs breathing and calling other dogs.Lots of dogs were pulling the long sled.

When the far-north of Canada freezes, it controls everything that lives and grows there.The strong and the clever ones live ,while the weak die.

Suddenly, a cry cut through the frozen silence. The two men looked at each other, but they said nothing.Then a second and a third cry, came from all around.

" They're after us ,Bill" said Henry who was in front of the sled.But the wolves came closer at night.

"How many dogs do we have?"

"You know we've got six ,but why are you asking?" Henry said.

" I'm sure that I saw seven pairs of eyes when I threw them meat"...

HARE WANTS ANOTHER RACE 2

     Once upon a time, there was a hare which had lost in a race with a Tortoise. Because he was cross, he asked Tortoise for  another race."Three, two,one, GO!!".Hare started very fast.He ran down the hill and ran very fast , in the town.

     

      But in a few minutes he saw a river. He thought,"I'll jump".He jumped and fell into the water.He shouted for help and Tortoise saved him.The the race started again.

       

      Hare had almost finished, but the journalists stopped him at the finishing line to take photos of him.While he was taking photos, Tortoise passed the finishing line and she was the winner.

The call of the wild / Chapter 1: To the north

Buck was a big and strong dog which lived in Santa Clara valley in California. He lived with Mrs Miler and some other dogs in a very big place with lots of fruit trees, large gardens and a river nearby. Men found gold in the Yukon, so they wanted big and strong dogs to work in the cold and snow of the north.

Manuel, a gardener, took Buck when Mrs Miller wasn't in the house. Buck thought that it was an afternoon walk. Manuel took him to two strange men. They put a rope around Buck's neck. The gardener paid them. The dog jumped on them, but they pulled hard the rope around Buck's neck and they put him in a train. Then, they took him to an old man. That man held a club and an axe. Buck jumped at him ten times, but the man hit him with the block ten times. The last time Buck fell again on the ground and he didn't move.

After some days a man took Buck and put him in a boat with other dogs to the north.When they arrived something soft and cold was under Buck's feet. He didn't know what it was and he started biting it. It was the first time he saw snow!

Felix and the fairy

  Felix and  his friends ,Jack and Mary, are at
the amusement park.They are having fun!There's so
much to see and do!They are really excited:''Look
at the strong man!Look at the juggler!Look at the
strong man!''.
  Felix and Jack are having a power competition.Felix
is the winner!The three children saw a magician and
they went next to him.The magician moved his wand
and said : "Abracadabra, look at the rabbit in the
hat"!A cute rabbit appeared and everybody said Wow!

The Selfish Giant

    Once upon a time, in a little village, there
was a giant's castle.Every day the children played
in the Giant's garden, but they didn't like Giant.
     One day the children heard:" Boom, Boom,
Boom!!!" They turned and saw a very big pair
of boots.They looked up and saw a big and angry
face.
    The Giant said: "It's all mine!!!.Keep off
my garden!".

The children were very sad when they walked out of the Giant's beautiful garden...
