The proposal

Our city wants to build a hotel. There are some advantages and disadvantages about it.

Two reasons not to build a hotel OR: The disadvantages of a new hotel

There are two main reasons why a hotel is not useful. First of all, the air pollution will be more, because more cars will be there. The second problem is that the traffic and all the cars will make very big noise and the neighboorhood's life will change and that change will not be very good.

The advantages of a new hotel in the city

There are many advantages of building a new hotel. Firstly, we have a beautiful city, so with a new hotel more tourists will come. This means more money. Secondly, the owner wil hire a lot of employees, so we will have less unemployement. Also, our city has many pieces of land, which are not used. Therefore, the hotel is going to be built on this land.

Recommendations and suggestions

As a student, I strongly support that our city needs a hotel. All the hotels, in our beautiful city are not good, so a nice one will be able to make tourists come to the hotel. But this is my personal opinion. I think we must start a petition to let the local residents express their opinion and solve the problem.

My best friend

  My best friend is George. I have known George since the first day of junior high school. I have known him for five months.

  George is a good-looking,short and fit child.He wears modern clothes.His clothes are very fashionable.His face is pretty too.His eyes are big,round and brown .He has got a big mouth and when he laughs we see his teeth which are very clean His hair is short,straight and it is brown.

  My friend is very tolerant because he never has a problem with people of different nationalities or religions.Also,he is very polite too,because he never says bad words to anyone.He is cheerful and every day we play basketball together.

  Two weeks ago I was with George on the beach.We were swimming when George saw many jellyfish in the sea.We were very scared.We called the other people who were there.They were scared,too! Finally a lifeguard came there and he killed the jellyfish.It was a tragic moment! After this moment,I think I laugh a lot with George and he's always going to be my best friend. 

Description of a friend

I have a friend who is very important to me. His name is Panagiotis. I met him a few years ago. Six years ago I met him for the first time at school, but we have been friends since the third class.

His style is unique for sure! He wears always comfortable clothes (never jeans), but generally he wears modern clothes. He is not old-fashioned or colourful. He is a good-looking boy (he has a girlfriend, too) and he is tall. He is fit. He is slim but his mum wants him to eat more than he eats. His eyes are normal and round. They are green, too. I think that his eyes are the best thing about him. His hair is short and straight. His hair is blond. He wears glasses, but he has not got freckles, moles or anything else.

His character is amazing but sometimes he can be very bad to people, but this happens very rarely. He has good and bad personality characteristics. He is very, very, very patient. He can wait for you, if you are late for hours and he can listen carefully about your problems. He is always cheerful, every day. He is reliable, you can tell him everything you want. He is mature, but sometimes he is immature, I do not know how. He is polite with the other people and finally, he is tolerant with the other nationalities and with people.

There is something that I will remember for ever! I remember we were at the supermarket to buy chewing-gums. There was a sign which said with capital letters "DO NOT TOUCH THESE GUMS". We looked at each other and suddenly we heard a noise, like a sirene. We started running. We went out of the supermarket, but we saw an ambulance with a sirene. We started laughing! This is why that Panagiotis is one of my best friends.
